Nour Elashmawy
Nour Elashmawy is an Analyst of the Women, Business and the Law project. She currently supports the research on labor laws and regulations. Nour joined the team in July 2024. Before joining the team, she worked as a Consultant for the World Bank’s Development Economics Research Group (DECRG). Prior to joining the World Bank, Nour worked on Egypt’s Sustainable Development Strategy at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in Egypt and then she joined the Egyptian Competition Authority. She also consulted for the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the International Labor Organization (ILO). She holds an MSc in Applied Development Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a BSc in Economics from Cairo University and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She is a native Arabic speaker, and fluent in English and French.
