Natalia Galvis Arias
Natalia Galvis Arias is an Analyst of the Women, Business and the Law project. She conducts causal inference research evaluating the impact of legal reforms on gender equality outcomes and contributes to the AI and Data team, applying data-driven and computational methods to support research and policy analysis, and designing multi-agent and other AI strategies to transform data and enhance causal inference applications. Natalia joined the team in February 2026. She is currently a Teaching Assistant in Digital Economics, and Public Economics at the University of Manchester. Before joining the team, she led gender-sensitive crime analysis and evaluation for violence reduction policies at the Security and Justice Department in Bogotá, Colombia, and coordinated regional Multidimensional Poverty Index applications across Latin America at the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Development Economics at the University of Manchester (expected 2027). She speaks Spanish (native), English (fluent), and French (intermediate).
