Feature Team Members

Liang Shen is an Analyst with the World Bank’s Women, Business and the Law project. She leads the management and redesign of the WBL website and its data management system. Liang has expertise in workplace discrimination, family leave, and childcare laws and policies. Her recent work explores how legal reforms affect women’s economic outcomes, including in the context of climate change. Liang joined WBL in September 2020 after serving in the New York State government on tax policy and economic analysis. She holds an M.S. in Economics from Bocconi University and an M.P.A. from the State University of New York at Albany. She speaks Mandarin Chinese and is learning French.
