Laura Alicia Aquino Arriaga
Laura Alicia Aquino Arriaga is an Analyst with the Women, Business and the Law project. She contributes to the analysis of gender-related legal frameworks and expert opinion data. She joined the team in January 2026. Prior to joining, she worked as a researcher in applied microeconomics, with experience in impact evaluations, field experiments, and policy-oriented research on gender, legal reforms, and economic development, including work in Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa. She previously worked at the World Justice Project, Mexico’s Ministry of Finance, and the Federal Telecommunications Institute. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
