Jaime Cano Garcia

Jaime is an Analyst of the Women, Business and the Law project, where he supports contributors' engagement by fostering relationships and expanding WBL’s network. Jaime joined the team in May of 2026. Before taking on this role, he served as a Research Assistant in the Department of Political Science at George Washington University (GWU), focusing on party system fragmentation and electoral dynamics in Latin America, and worked in victim service advocacy through GWU's Office of Advocacy and Support. Before this, he worked at the Political Section of the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C., supporting the Spanish diplomatic mission in the US. Additionally, Jaime has experience in non-profit consulting and management through roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers and A Wider Circle. He holds a B.A. in International Affairs and Peace Studies, with a minor in Law and Society, from The George Washington University, where he was a Davis United World College Scholar. He is a native Spanish speaker and fluent in English.
