Giacomo Tabacco

Giacomo Tabacco is an Analyst of the Women, Business and the Law project. He conducts research on legislation impacting women’s economic lives, specifically in relation to family law and access to finance. He rejoined the team in April 2025. Prior to this role, he worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Ecuador, focusing on gender persecution and access to durable solutions. He also previously served as an Analyst for the World Bank’s Equality of Opportunity for Sexual and Gender Minorities (EQOSOGI) initiative. Giacomo holds a first law degree from the University of Turin, Italy, and a Master’s degree in International Law from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., USA. He is fluent in Italian, Spanish, and English. He is conversant in French.
