Parental benefits: wages  
A women with the place of residence in Sarajevo is entitled to receive monetary benefit in the amount of 60% of the avarage net wage in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, this amount shall not be lower than the lowest wage determened in accordance to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Governnment regulations and the General Framework Agreement for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. If the women was not employed in the period of six months before birth-giving, she is entitled to receive the monetary benefit in the amount of 50% of the lowest wage in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The women is entitled to receive this benefit for the period of pregnancy and the maternal leave for the continuous period of one year.

Upon expiry of maternity leave, a woman with a child up to at least one year of age is entitled to work half working hours, and for each following child, she is entitled to work half working hours up to two years of age of the child. This right may also be used by the employed father of the child if the woman works full hours in that period.
